Hi! My name is Jordyn, I am the owner and founder of Vetsitting, LLC.

I currently work in Charlotte at “2023 Charlotte’s Best” veterinary hospital, where many of my petsitting clients have found me. I have been at my current location for over 4 years now and have been in the veterinary field for 8 years total.

Within Vet Med, my passion lies in working with exotic pets and practicing fear free ideologies. I have always loved all animals, from the cute and fluffy to the wet and scaley, and nothing makes me happier than when I am able to gain a fearful animals trust.

When I’m not working at the hospital, I honestly spend most of my free time Vetsitting and managing my business. I feel so lucky to work in a field that I love and am so passionate about. I consider myself even more fortunate to form such great relationships with not only the pets I care for, but with my clients as well. I have been petsitting in Charlotte for 7 years now and over the years, I have been invited to client weddings, thanksgiving, and been told on numerous occasions that I am “part of the family” which means so much to me, especially having my whole family 14 hours away. There is truly no job on this earth that I would rather be doing.

Hello! I'm Taylor. Dedicated Vetsitter, Virtual Veterinary Nurse, and Administrative Assistant here at Vetsitting, LLC.

Originally I'm from Southern California, it was there that my lifelong passion for animals and the veterinary field began. When I was just four years old, I used to tell everyone that when I grew up I wanted to become a "vetterian". I practiced my "doctoring" skills on my various stuffed animals, including a cherished stuffed black lab that I still keep to this day.

While working on my college education, I began working as a pet sitter for friends and family . After earning my Bachelor's degree in Science, I relocated to Indiana, where I worked in a local Animal Shelter. Over time, I promoted to Veterinary Assistant and eventually Head Adoption Counselor. It was during this transformative phase that my dedication to the Veterinary Industry deepened. I transitioned to an in-clinic role at a nearby veterinary clinic, where I gained valuable experinces and achieved my Fear Free Certification.

Today, I call Charlotte  my home. I am incredibly fortunate to work as a Virtual Veterinary Assistant, which gives me the flexibility to work remotely, foster in-need pets, and spend more time with my senior dog, Champ, a Belgian Malinois/Boxer mix, and my nine-month-old kitten, Arwen.

I consider myself fortunate to have the medical experience and animal welfare background I do. I'm excited to meet and care for your beloved fur babies, treating them with the same love and care that I provide to my own cherished pets!

Hi, I’m Genevive!

I graduated in 2019 from Central Mindanao University in the Philippines with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Currently, I’m working as a Virtual Assistant for Vetsitting as I prepare for my veterinary licensure exams. I’m deeply passionate about caring for animals who cannot speak for themselves and supporting the veterinary teams dedicated to their well-being.

In addition to my virtual roles, I have hands-on experience working as an assistant veterinarian under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian. Beyond clinical work, I’ve gained diverse experience in the veterinary field, including medical scribing, social media management for a veterinary clinic and boarding facility, appointment setting, and customer service.

I also worked as an insurance claims processor for PetsBest and later as a Practice Development Specialist for CareCredit, where I helped veterinary practices increase revenue and improve treatment acceptance.

When I’m not working, I love volunteering at community spay/neuter and rabies vaccination drives, and spending quiet time with my cats.

Hi! My name is Marisa and I have been with Vetsitting for about 3 years now.

I am from New York but have called Charlotte my home for most of my life. Since I was young I have always had a passion for animal care and welfare and have decided to make that my future.

I have been in the veterinary field for about 5 years now. Starting in reception and now as a veterinary assistant. I am currently an emergency veterinary assistant full time and have previous experiences in urgent care and general practice settings. I am fear free certified and have used fear free techniques from the very beginning!

When I am not at work I am usually spending time with my furry loved ones. I compete in agility with my pitty Athena and protection sports with my German shepherd dog Damon. For fun we also compete in lure coursing, barnhunt, and dock diving.

I have a passion for providing positive experiences for all pets I have the pleasure of meeting. I cannot wait to create positive memories with your furry (or non furry) loved ones! ❤️

Hi! My name is Nickie and I'm so excited to meet your furry best friends!

I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Animal Veterinary Sciences and I have since  dedicated  most of my time to working with small, large and exotic animals.

After getting my degree, I decided to move to Charlotte and work as a veterinary nurse. I've gained experience in general practice, urgent care, and am now  currently working in a specialty clinic.

I'm both CPR and fear free certified, and am actively helping my colleagues achieve the same designation. Being fear free certified means a lot to me. Ultimately, my goal is to create a stress-free and safe experience for your pet during every visit.

When I'm not at work, I'm usually spending time with my five cats, reading, or going on  adventures with my friends. Animals have always been my passion and I can't wait to care for yours!

Hello there! I'm Stephanie.

Though I've lived in various states,  North Carolina is currently what I've come to consider home, having spent most of my life here.

In 2016, my academic pursuits led me to UNCG where I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology. Further fueled by my passion for animals, I sought a degree in Veterinary Technology. As of now, I'm working as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) at an animal ophthalmology practice, having spent over 4 years in the field. Though, my passion for helping animals  persists throughout my entire life.

Within the Veterinary field, my interests lie heavily in surgical nursing, anesthesia, and caring for hospitalized patients. I've honed my skills in numerous facets of veterinary nursing, ranging from wound care and emergency medical intervention, to the administration of various medications. Among all my experiences, the most gratifying is earning the trust of a nervous animal and watching as they come out of their shell.

Outside of work, I savor moments with my companions - Otis, my dog, and Aslan, my cat. I enjoy lots of outdoor activities, especially  hiking and kayaking. On occasion, Otis even joins me for these adventures!

Understanding the profound bond we share with our pets, my aim is to ensure your pet's comfort. In my care, they're not just another patient - they're treated as a part of my own family.

Hello there! My name is Jessica.

I'm originally from New Mexico but have been residing in Charlotte, NC for the past two years. I'm currently enrolled as a student at Unity Environmental College.  Im working towards my life long goal of  becoming a veterinarian, specializing in emergency or exotic animals. My journey in the veterinary field began as a kennel technician, and I've since gained valuable experience as a veterinary assistant in both the intesnsive care and general practice settings.

My greatest joy comes from dedicating my life to providing compassionate care and unwavering devotion to every furry friend I encounter. I'm the proud owner of Mochi, a delightful black and white tuxedo cat who is my best friend. When the weather allows, we embark on exciting adventures together.

Caring for animals and forming special bonds with them is my true passion, and I'm eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to extend that care to your beloved pet.

Hello! I'm Mason!

I am dedicated professional with a profound love for veterinary medicine and a strong desire to care for and assist animals. Originally from Johnson City, Tennessee, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Fisheries & Wildlife Science along with a minor in Zoology from NC State University.

After graduation, I embarked on my journey in Charlotte, where I quickly immersed myself in the field as a veterinary technician specializing in emergency triage. It was during this time that my passion for providing exceptional care to animals and building meaningful connections with their owners flourished. This experience fueled my deep appreciation for the intricacies of veterinary medicine.

Currently, I work as an intensive care technician at a distinguished specialty hospital, collaborating closely with cardiologists and an internal medicine specialists. Through this role, I have gained invaluable expertise in specialty surgery and have acquired basic and advanced CPR certifications.

Outside of work, I enjoy the company of my beloved three-legged fur baby, Maple, experimenting with new culinary creations, and nurturing my thriving collection of house plants.

My unwavering dedication to the well-being of our animal companions drives me to consistently exceed expectations. I am genuinely thrilled to meet you and your pets, and will ensure they receive the highest standard of care, attention,  and compassion that they deserve.

Hi, I'm Tina!

I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. My lifelong passion for animal care led me to pursue a career working with them. So, at the age of 10, my family made the decision to relocate to the United States to support my educational journey towards becoming a Veterinarian. I've been a resident of Charlotte for approximately 15 years now, with a brief interlude in Asheville. Ultimately, I returned to Charlotte at the end of April.

My journey in the veterinary field began roughly 7 years ago when I started as kennel staff. Over time, I progressed to the role of an emergency overnight technician, which I held for 5 years. During my time in Asheville, I had the opportunity to work at a specialty clinic for about a year, which greatly expanded my expertise.

Upon my return to Charlotte, my former clinic offered me the position of overnight ICU manager, a role I've embraced wholeheartedly.

Throughout my career, I've accumulated extensive experience in caring for a diverse array of animals, each with unique special needs.

Outside of work, I thoroughly enjoy hiking and camping, often accompanied by my loyal companions, Coco and Nova. They are my cherished hiking companions, making every adventure all the more enjoyable. ❤️

Hello, I'm Renee!

I'm originally from the snowbelt of NW Pennsylvania, but have been a southern gal since 2006! My degree is in Environmental Science/Biology, but after several years working as a project manager at a local environmental testing lab I was drawn back to my passion of working with pets and their humans. I have been in the veterinary field since 2012, and have filled almost every role within the hospital setting, from reception to veterinary nurse and surgery assistant. Currently, I am working my dream job as a veterinary behavior assistant with an incredible team in Northwest Charlotte.

I am proud to hold the status of a Fear-Free Elite certified veterinary professional. I have recently completed the IAABC Fear Free Trainer Certification Program, and previously acquired HABRI human-animal bond certification through NAVC.

When not at work, I enjoy spending precious time with family and being out in nature with my husband and our six-year-old lab, Gus. We also volunteer with an amazing local non-profit called Continuing the Mission (https://continuingthemission.org/), which provides North Carolina veterans with fully trained assistance dogs at no cost.

I am thrilled to expand my veterinary niche and look forward to enriching the lives of our local furkids!

Hello there! I'm Mollie!

Originally I'm from Wilmington, NC. I  ventured to Charlotte for college and instantly fell in love with city. After graduating from UNCC in 2022 with my Bachelor's in Biology, I decided to stay. As it turns out, I'm a city girl at heart!

Since I was a kid I've always been very passionate about pets. Its  been a lifelong dream of mine to become a Veterinarian. My journey in the field began in 2016 in Wilmington, where I worked as a veterinary nurse in a locally owned primary care hospital. Working in primary care deepened my love for this profession, but I craved more excitement, which led me to emergency medicine. The dynamic and unpredictable nature of emergency care has been incredibly fulfilling, teaching me something new every day. My path has taken me from ER to ICU, and now to the cardiology department, where I continue to grow and learn immensely.

When I'm not working, you'll find me indulging in crafts, losing myself in a good book, or spending quality time with my cat, Bindi, who has a knack for lounging on my crafting supplies and joining me in my reading adventures. I make it a point to explore something new in Charlotte every weekend, with Front Porch Sundays and the city's vibrant murals being some of my favorite finds. Currently, I'm in the process of applying to veterinary school, eager to further my education and bring more beloved animals into my life.

I look forward to the opportunity to learn through your pets and to welcome more cherished animals into my world!

Hi there, I'm Skylar!

I'm originally from Florida but I've just recently moved here to Charlotte and am happy to call it home now! I've been involved with animals all my life and have over seven years of experience working in the Veterinary field. My journey started with an education in Agriscience-Biotechnology and Vet Assisting at Frank H Peterson, where I began my career as an Animal Attendant. I then worked as a Veterinary Assistant for four years and most recently spent three years in a privately owned general practice as the lead Veterinary Assistant back in Florida. Additionally, I'm actively involved in community efforts like Trap-Neuter-Release programs, fostering, and rescue work. Plus, I'm Fear Free certified in Animal Handling and Grooming!

Outside of work, I love painting, gardening, and exploring the great outdoors with my two dogs, while my two cats prefer to spend their afternoons napping. I'm passionate about creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all fur babies and look forward to continuing to care for and nurture our beloved pets with all the love and dedication they deserve.

Hi everyone! My name is Nyquaisha, but feel free to call me Ny for short.

I'm 24 years old and a proud resident of Charlotte, having relocated here in 2019 from the small country town of Rockingham, North Carolina. Although I thoroughly enjoy the city life with all its activities, deep down, I'm still very much a country girl at heart. I began my venture into the veterinary field two years ago, though I've always been involved with animals, whether through doggy daycare or pet sitting. My enduring love for animals of all sizes, breeds, shapes, and colors is driving me to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian.

This fall, I plan to attend A&T State University to earn my Bachelor's in Animal Science. There's just something about animals that I can't stay away from—their care and happiness are my top priorities because they need us as much as we need them. They are incredibly loving and possess the purest of souls. I own a two-year-old female pitbull and a 16 year old horse named Rain, who both mean the world to me and are just as sweet as can be. When I'm not caring for them or working, you'll often find me at the skating rink enjoying a good old time or spending moments with my family. Besides that, I love listening to music and dancing around my room. I look forward to meeting your wonderful furry babies, caring for them, and keeping them happy.

Hi!  I’m Angela L.

I have been in the veterinary field for a total of 22 years. I have held the title of RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) for the last 10 years, having graduated from Gaston College Veterinary Medical Technology program in 2013. I have had the privilege of working at small animal hospitals in Texas, Colorado, and North Carolina. I have now called South Charlotte home since 2006.

I caught a bug for Veterinary medicine as a teenager in South Louisiana, where I assisted our horse veterinarian. Over the years, I have worked with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, ferrets, geckos, hedgehogs, snakes, and even the late "Queen Charlotte", the city of Charlotte's  royal groundhog. I love the variety of animals, their unique personalities, and the surprising predicaments they get into that we see every day in practice. Orthopedic and exploratory surgeries are the procedures that most interest me.

Outside of work, I volunteer as a dog walker with the Humane Society of Charlotte, tutor elementary school students in reading, sail on Lake Norman, and run in the woods. I also enjoy relaxing with my family and Stephen, our very vocal black cat.

I can’t wait to meet your pets and help keep them entertained and well loved while you’re away.

Hey there, my name is Kayla O.

I’m 22 years old, originally from New York, and I moved to North Carolina when I was young. I've been here for about 17 years and proudly call it home!

I’ve been working in veterinary medicine for 5 years, starting as a kennel tech and progressing to a veterinary assistant. In 2025 I graduated from Gaston College Veterinary Technology Program and have passed my boards, offically earning the title of RVT. My experience spans doggy daycare, general practice, and urgent care. I'm fear free certified and skilled at using techniques to help shy or anxious pets feel comfortable.

I have two dogs of my own: Toby, a pittie mix, and Eloise, a standard poodle. I also foster puppies, so I often have little visitors until they find their forever homes. In my free time, I love reading, baking, relaxing with my dogs and watching movies, or taking my dogs on new hiking trails and finding new places for Eloise to swim!

My passion for working with animals has been strong for as long as I can remember. I can’t wait to meet your sweet, furry babies, provide the best care, and ensure they are happy and loved.

Hi there! I'm Kayla A.

I'm originally from southern New Jersey, but I've also lived in DE, PA, SC, and now NC! I completed the veterinary technology program at Camden County College and became a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT). Then I went on to the University of Delaware to complete my bachelors in Animal Bioscience, with a Wildlife Conservation minor. During this time I was lucky enough to get experience working with all different kinds of working dogs. From service dogs with Canine Companions, to narcotics detection dogs and search and rescue dogs with the PennVet Working Dog Center, I was able to help train young working dogs before they found their forever partners.

I've been in the veterinary field for about 10 years, mostly working in general practice with some urgent care. I have a special interest working around behavior after my personal experience working with a veterinary behaviorist. Making a pet comfortable with me, and in every situation, is my ultimate goal. I also work closely with a USDA accredited veterinarian and help clients travel with their pets internationally!

I've recently joined an amazing community workshop to enhance my craft/diy abilities. I'm learning woodworking and pottery, with my next interest in metal work. I also love to play video games, walk through nature, read, and play volleyball and bocce. At home I have 2 talkative cats named Chadwick and Eddie (pictured with me!), and a Leopard Gecko named Vanilor.

I'm really looking forward to meeting your furry, feathered, and scaly family members! I love learning about each individual so please go on a tangent telling me their favorite things.

Hello everyone! My name is Ivy!

Originally I am from Winston Salem but have called Charlotte home for the past 5 years. I  graduated from UNC Charlotte with a degree in Biology, focusing on environmental science. I have been in the Veterinary field for over 3 years now and currently I work as a Fear Free Certified Veterinary Assistant in general practice with experience working in Urgent Care as well. I've had the pleasure of working with a variety of different species and particularly enjoy participating in surgeries and procedures. I’m excited to continue growing in this field and to care for your cherished pets.

My passion for animals, which I inherited from my mother, drives me every day. My household is home to 8 parrots, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 geckos, an axolotl, and a horse. Its safe to say I am experienced with exotic pets as well! In my free time, I indulge in my growing plant collection and enjoy walks with my dog.

I’m enthusiastic about working with all kinds of animals and building connections with their wonderful owners. I look forward to the opportunity to care for your pets!

Hi, my name is Kara!

I was born and raised in Charlotte, though I spent some time living in Florida, where I managed an emergency and specialty animal hospital. While in Florida, I also started my own nonprofit, the Whiskers and Wags Foundation, which helps pets in need of emergency medical care.

For nearly 10 years, I’ve worked in various areas of veterinary medicine, including emergency, specialty, and general practice. From a young age, I knew I wanted to work with animals, and one of the most rewarding parts of my career has been building long-lasting relationships with both pets and their owners. I’m especially passionate about emergency medicine, where I have the opportunity to save lives and support pet parents during highly stressful situations.

In addition to my veterinary work, I love pet sitting in my free time. I am Fear Free certified, which means I focus on minimizing stress by understanding and adapting to an animal’s temperament. I have a lot of experience working with fearful and reactive pets, including my own dog, Bane. He’s 9 years old now, and I’ve had him since he was 6 weeks old—he’s struggled with reactivity, so I understand the challenges firsthand.

When I’m not working or caring for pets, I enjoy horseback riding, volunteering, and spending time at the beach.

Hi! My name is Caroline!

I was born in Annapolis, Maryland, but my childhood was  a bit of an adventure thanks to my dad’s service in the Marine Corps. Our family moved every few years, giving me the chance to live in some incredible places, including South Dakota, Upstate New York, and even a military base in the Caribbean. When I was 13, I had started my first “job” as a pet sitter, walking dogs and caring for pets for my parents’ friends and neighbors.  I grew up with a Labrador Retriever and then we had a Wheaten Terrier!

After graduating high school, I moved to North Carolina and started working as a pharmacy technician while attending college.  I soon became a certified pharmacy technician and fell in love with helping people with medical needs. About 2 years later, I acted on my desire to combine my love of medicine and animals, and began working at a Veterinary Hospital. There, I was able to use medicine to help animals who were sick or unwell. After about 7 months of working inside the pharmacy, I shifted roles and began working as a veterinary technician/ assistant. I practice fear-free techniques and have a special love for cats.  I even rescued two cats of my own when I moved to Charlotte.  I plan on eventually becoming a certified veterinary technician to further improve my knowledge on animal care. Animals are my one true love in life and I plan on spending the rest of my life caring for them all as if they were my own. I’m looking forward to meeting your fur babies and sharing my love with them!

Hi, I’m Alex!

I moved to Charlotte from Miami, Florida, in 2017, and I’ve been loving life in the Queen City ever since. Working with animals has been my dream for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been fortunate to pursue that passion professionally for the past 5 years, with over 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting. Currently I work at a general practice where no two days are ever the same. We care for dogs and cats, as well as exotic animals like bearded dragons, rabbits, guinea pigs, and even the occasional chicken! While I enjoy working with all types of pets, exotic animals hold a special place in my heart.

In addition to my work, I’m currently enrolled at SPCC, where I’m working toward my Associate of Science degree with the goal of becoming a licensed veterinary technician. Among my many responsibilities in the field, I’m particularly passionate about surgery and providing critical care for animals when they need it most.

When I’m not at work, my wife and I love exploring the outdoors with our six dogs—all under the age of two! Our furry family includes three Australian Shepherds (Nova, Arlo, and Flynn), two Labrador/Pitbull mixes (Kado and Draco), and a spirited Chihuahua named Max, lovingly called Tootie.

Caring for animals is not just my profession—it’s my calling. I can’t wait to meet you and help care for your fur babies!

Hi there, I'm Reece!  I’m so excited to meet your fur babies and care for them as if they were my own!

I’ve had a lifelong passion for working with animals, and I’ve been in the veterinary field for over 5 years. Growing up, I cared for all kinds of pets, from lizards and turtles to cats and dogs, which deepened my love for animals.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Communications from Queens University of Charlotte and plan to return to school soon to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. My ultimate goal is to start my own animal care business, combining my experience and passion for helping pets and their people.

I’m a Charlotte native with four wonderful pets of my own: Roo, a German Shepherd; Bentley, a Husky; Aspen, my Ragdoll cat; and Knox, my rescue Maine Coon mix. Having a German Shepherd with behavioral challenges and separation anxiety has given me firsthand experience with fearful and reactive animals. I’m also Fear Free certified and RECOVER CPR certified, so you can rest assured your pets are in capable hands.

When I’m not caring for animals, I enjoy traveling, attending concerts, and horseback riding. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members soon!

Hi! I’m Valerie.

I’m a Registered Veterinary Technician originally from New York. I relocated to Charlotte in January of 2025, and am so excited to be here! Currently, my own pets include two rescue cats, Suki and Kiko (pictured) and two rescue guinea pigs, Poppy and Flora.

Animals have always been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember. I knew I wanted to work with them from a very young age, which led me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I graduated from State University of New York at Delhi in 2020 and received my Veterinary Technician license shortly after. During the summer of my technician internship, I spent a great deal of my free time pet sitting, and have continued pet sitting ever since. I have experience working in both small and mixed animal practice, as well as experience with wildlife as a rehabilitator. I hope to be able to work with many different species throughout my career in veterinary medicine. Advocating for the wellbeing of all animals is extremely important to me, and I try to lead with this in my work and everyday life. I am also Fear Free certified.

I look forward to learning more about you and your pets, and having the opportunity to care for them!

Hi, my name is Angela C.

I was born and raised in Colombia and moved to the U.S. when I was 16 years old. When I turned 18, I started volunteering at a shelter in Miami, and that's when I realized the career path I wanted to pursue. I completed a Veterinary Technician program at Miami Dade College in 2011, and I've loved every aspect of veterinary medicine ever since. This passion has led me to work in various specialties, including cardiology, internal medicine, oncology, surgery, neurology, and emergency care, which has helped me build a strong foundation of knowledge, skills, and experience.

In 2018, I moved to Charlotte, bringing my rescue cat, Koko, along with me. Since then, I’ve also adopted Baloo, Peaches, and Hachi—my own little "Aristocats." I enjoy traveling the world, scuba diving, and snowboarding. I also love spending time with my parents in Miami and visiting my nephews and niece in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

I’m really looking forward to caring for your pets and providing them with the best possible care.

Hi, I’m Christina!

I’ve called the Charlotte area home for the past 18 years, though I’m originally from Boston, Massachusetts. I’m married to my wonderful husband, James, and we have a son, Hunter.

I’ve been working in the veterinary field for nearly 9 years. Currently, I’m studying to become a Registered Veterinary Technician while working as a Certified Veterinary Assistant. Emergency medicine is where my passion lies, and I kicked off my career at a 24-hour emergency clinic. After having my son, I transitioned to general practice, where I’ve really enjoyed educating clients on how to provide the best care for their pets.

At home, I have one dog, Lyla, and two cats, Cynder and Callie. In my free time, I love exploring new parks and riding horses, always enjoying the outdoors whenever I can!

I’m excited to be part of Vetsitting, where I get to use my knowledge and passion to care for pets in a personalized, home-setting environment. It’s truly rewarding to know I’m helping pets feel comfortable and loved while their owners are away.

Hi, I’m Joy!

Originally from the Midwest, I ventured to Colorado for college, earning my Bachelor of Science in Biology from CU Denver. After graduation, I pursued my passion for animal care by obtaining a Veterinary Technology degree from The Bel-Rea Institute in Denver, CO.

With over 25 years of experience in the veterinary field, I’ve worked primarily in specialty practices and academia, including The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine. Currently, I’m part of a small animal practice in Huntersville.

Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering with nonprofits and animal rescue groups and am an active member of the Lupus Foundation. While I don’t have pets of my own at the moment, I’m looking forward to the opportunity to care for your fur babies as if they were my own!

Hi, I'm Torrie!

I’m from Denver, North Carolina, and I’ve been working in the veterinary field for about three years. I began my journey as a kennel worker, where I cared for multiple pets. I monitored their health, administered daily medications, and maintained clean living environments. From there, I advanced into a veterinary assitant role, assisting with medical procedures, administering medications, maintaining patient records, and further strengthening my animal care and healthcare knowledge.

Currently, I’m attending Lees-McRae College, majoring in Pre-Veterinary Medicine with a minor in Wildlife Rehabilitation. I’m an honor roll student-athlete, and I’m passionate about continuing to grow my knowledge and hands-on skills in both veterinary medicine and wildlife care.

Outside of work and school, I enjoy tumbling and stunting for cheer, and I love spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and exploring nature.

I’m excited to be a part of the Vetsitting team, and I look forward to providing compassionate, reliable care while continuing to build lasting connections with both pets and their owners!

Hi there, I’m Hatlee!

I've been in the veterinary field for 3.5 amazing years, and I can honestly say that every day is a new adventure. I absolutely LOVE what I do and every single animal that I meet! 🐾

Born and raised in both South and North Carolina, I’ve had the pleasure of being surrounded by all kinds of animals my whole life, and that’s where my passion really started. I have a special bond with felines and large breed dogs— But don’t get me wrong, the smaller pups definitely get all my love too! ❤️

I have worked in both holistic and general practices, but I do currently work in an independent practice and have proudly earned the hospital name as the "Cat Whisper" I plan to be starting school in the Spring to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. I am fear free certified for both the people and the pets and I couldn't imagine practicing and pet sitting any other way!

At home, I’m a proud foster failure (yes, I couldn’t help myself!) to a sweet three-legged Siamese named Sinki and if that wasn’t enough to keep me on my toes, I also have a feisty orange tabby named Nemo, and a sweet tortoiseshell named Samoa. Oh, and I can’t forget Tucca, my bearded dragon he’s definitely the most “chill” of the bunch, but he keeps things interesting in the best way. 🦎

I can’t wait to meet your fur babies (or scale-y babies)! Let’s create some unforgettable memories together! 🐶🐱🐾

Hi! My name is Isabel.

I currently work as a Veterinary Assistant at a local animal hospital. My passion for animals goes all the way back to third grade, when I was visiting Puerto Rico—where I’m originally from—and took horseback riding lessons. Spending time with the horses and watching their equine veterinarian work made a lasting impression on me. Since then, pursuing a career in animal care has been my one and only goal.

I began my journey in the field at a boarding  and daycare center, where I worked for about two years. From there, I transitioned to a veterinary clinic, working as a veterinary assistant for nearly two more years. I recently moved to North Carolina in April and have absolutely fallen in love with Charlotte.

During my time in the veterinary field, I’ve gained experience with fear-free handling techniques, aftercare for critical diagnoses, nail trims, fluid administration, injections, and much more. My goal is always to provide a safe and stress-free environment for your pet—making the transition from your absence to my presence as smooth as possible.I can’t wait for the opportunity to get to know your pets!

Hi! My name is Thames!

I’m a Charlotte native with a degree in Laboratory Animal Sciences. After graduating from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, I began my career as a Veterinary Assistant. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience in emergency care, internal medicine, general practice, and low-cost clinics—each role further deepening my love for veterinary medicine. I plan to attend veterinary school in 2027 to continue growing in this field.

Throughout my journey, I’ve also had the joy of pet sitting for veterinarians and support staff, which inspired me to extend my care to more pet families.

When I’m not working with animals, you can find me performing poetry, attending book clubs, volunteering on farms, or spending time with loved ones and fellow veterinary professionals.

I’m truly excited to meet you and your pets and to provide care that’s rooted in compassion, experience, and love!

Hi, my name is Julia!

Originally from California, I’ve called Charlotte home for most of my life. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a B.A. in Art, but my true passion has always been working with animals. I’ve been a veterinary assistant for over five years and currently serve as a full-time vet assistant and shift lead at a pet hospital in the SouthPark area.

In addition to my experience with small animals, I also have experience riding and taking care of horses. I have a deep appreciation for animals of all kinds—including reptiles, rodents, and birds. Last year I had to say goodbye to Nanook—my beloved wolf hybrid and constant companion for 13 unforgettable years. He was truly one of a kind, and the bond we shared continues to inspire the compassion and dedication I bring to my work every day.

I love building trust with every animal I meet and take pride in helping both pets and their people feel safe, supported, and understood.

Hi, I'm Kristen!

I graduated from Winthrop University in December 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Since graduating, I’ve continued my educational journey and am currently studying to become a licensed veterinary technician, as well as working toward my Fear Free certification.

After graduation, I moved to the Charlotte area to gain residency and make veterinary school more affordable, while also gaining hands-on experience in the field.

Animals have been a life-long passion of mine. I grew up with toy poodles and taught them commands and tricks all on my own—one of my proudest moments was teaching my pup to play dead on cue with the word "Bang!" That early passion led me to begin shadowing at a local vet at age 15, and I later completed an internship at the same clinic during my senior year of high school.

I’ve now been working in the veterinary field for over 7 years, starting as a kennel technician and working my way up to lead veterinary technician at my most recent hospital. That hospital was also a Fear Free facility, and the philosophy immediately resonated with me. Providing care that minimizes stress and prioritizes comfort is something I take very seriously—every pet deserves to have the best possible experience at the vet.

At home, I have four cats, all rescued in one way or another. In my spare time, I love gardening, reading, knitting, and exploring the outdoors. I’m so excited to be a part of the Vetsitting team, and I can’t wait to care for your pets!

Hi! My name is Malinda, but my friends call me Mal.

I'm originally from Maryland and just recently moved to the area. I grew up with cats and birds, and I’m now a proud mama to three cats and one dog that I absolutely treasure.

I’ve been working in veterinary medicine for the past six years, with experience in everything from boarding to general practice—but my heart has always belonged to shelter medicine. I love all animals and have experience with dogs, cats, exotics, some farm animals, and even wildlife, but caring for the homeless, abandoned, and mistreated pets is what truly warms my soul.

I’m certified in both dog behavior and Fear Free handling. At my previous shelter, I fostered many terminally ill, disabled, and medically complex pets. I became known as the “hospice nurse” because I was always willing to take in the ones who needed the most love at the end of their lives. Providing them with comfort, dignity, and a true sense of home was one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever done.

To continue that passion, I’ve accepted a position as the Senior Veterinary Technician at the Humane Society of Charlotte—and I’m so excited for the opportunity to also be part of the Vetsitting team. I’m truly grateful for the chance to care for your beloved pets and can’t wait to build lasting, loving relationships with the families I meet.

Hi, I’m Candace!

I’m a Fear Free Certified veterinarian with over 8 years of experience helping pets live their healthiest, happiest lives. I completed my veterinary education at Ross University and finished clinical training at NC State—two places that helped shape my compassionate, whole-pet approach to care. I am working on starting my own mobile veterinary practice, so I understand the true importance of the pets staying in the home setting for their stress level.

Originally from New Jersey, I found my heart in North Carolina and have proudly called Charlotte home for the past 8 years. I love the strong sense of community, the beautiful outdoors, and of course, all the amazing pets and pet parents I get to work with here.

When I’m not caring for animals professionally, I’m loving on my own crew of 8 pets—so I truly understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, experienced, and gentle when it comes to your fur family. Whether it’s a quick drop-in or an extended stay, I’m here to provide expert-level care with a personal touch.

Hi everyone! I’m Emonie.

Born and raised right here in Charlotte, I’ve been working in veterinary medicine since 2020. Since I was a kid, I’ve always known I wanted to work with animals—or pursue the arts. Today, I’m lucky enough to do both! I currently work as a veterinary assistant and am earning my bachelor’s degree in Game Art Design through Full Sail University.

My journey started as a kennel assistant, then progressed to technician/PCA, and finally to veterinary assistant. I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of clinics, including corporate, private practice, and urgent care. What fuels my passion the most is building real connections with both the client and their pets. I truly believe pets are our personal fur children, and when they trust and enjoy being around you—that’s how you earn a client’s trust, too. Helping to nurse them back to health is what I love most.

When I’m not working or studying, you’ll likely find me snuggled up with my 3-year-old orange tabby, Kon Orange Creamsicle Roman, or sketching to build my portfolio for life after graduation.

I’m so excited to meet you and your fur babies and can’t wait to give them all the care, love, and attention they deserve—so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

Hello! My name is Alexis.

I’m originally from Miami, Florida, but I’ve lived in North Carolina for the past ten years and am a nursing student at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. I currently reside in Uptown Charlotte with my significant other and our 2 dogs and 2 cats, we definitely enjoy the city life!

I have five years of experience as a veterinary assistant—two years in general practice and three years in emergency care. This work has deepened my love for all animals and strengthened my commitment to their well-being. It’s also equipped me with valuable skills such as recognizing signs of illness, administering medications, and handling animals with care and confidence—skills that are especially beneficial when it comes to pet sitting.

Whether in a clinical setting or caring for pets in a home environment, I take pride in providing compassionate, reliable care. I’m passionate about helping others—both people and animals- outside of the medical field I enjoy simple hobbies such as fishing, traveling, going to the park with my own pets and spending time with loved ones.

Hi furr-iends! I’m Denique, and I’m so excited to meet your furry babies! 🐾💕

I’m originally from the beautiful island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where my passion for animals began at a young age after seeing so many island strays in need of love and care.

My veterinary journey started at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and continued at North Carolina A&T State University, where I graduated in 2023 with my bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. Over the years, I’ve gained experience working at a pet resort, volunteering throughout college, and interning back at home in St. Thomas & St. John over the summer. I also pet-sat for two years while in school, which gave me the chance to build lasting bonds with so many different pets. Since graduating, I’ve worked at several veterinary hospitals including an emergency clinic, which has helped me become well-rounded in caring for pets in all situations.

In the clinic, what brings me the most joy is creating real connections with pets, treating them like family, and making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable every step of the way.

Outside of vet med, I enjoy thrifting, fashion, traveling, exploring new places, being crafty, and listening to favorite music & artists. Having lived and traveled in several different states as a military child, I love the diversity of experiences and people I’ve gotten to meet, and I’m excited to bring that same warmth and energy into this community. One day, I hope to have a whole crew of pets of my own, but until then, I’ll treat yours like family! 💕

Hi, my name is Molly!

I was born and raised in Brevard, North Carolina and recently moved to Charlotte after graduating from Appalachian State University.

I have been surrounded by animals my entire life, and practiced as a Veterinary Assistant for five years in a hybrid western/holistic clinic. I value the individual feelings and personalities of animals while bringing a level of medical knowledge and compassionate care to every pet I meet, and value a trusting relationship between owner and pet sitter. Specializing in dogs and cats, I have cared for pets of all temperaments and health needs. I believe that all animals deserve to feel safe, loved, and understood.

When I’m not pet sitting, I enjoy spending time with my own pets. Sometimes that looks like hiking and exploring with my Eskimo Spitz named Sitka, or relaxing on the couch with my little kitten Castiel! I am so excited and looking forward to providing the same level of care and attention I give my own pets to yours. They are part of our family after all.
